Outward Ministries

Global Missions

While there many different and effective mission organizations and ministries, CrossPoint is committed to giving priority to the nearly 800 missionaries that are sent throughout the world by the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Last year more that 212,000 people received Christ through Alliance Ministries! This focus includes an annual global missions conference in October with CMA missionaries.

Short-Term Missions Trips

There are regular trips to the Dominican Republic each January where we go to make a difference in the lives of others. Other trips are envisioned for other parts of the world.

Kids in Missions

On the last Sunday of the month, children are dismissed from the Worship Service to attend a special missions focus time.

Jail Ministries

CrossPoint provides spiritual and practical support to Janet Paul, as the Summit County Jail Chaplain. A number of our people are pen pals with inmates. We also prioritize assistance to those inmates being released from jail and reentering society.

Community Impact

There are numerous agencies in and around Akron with which we partner to minister to the needs of people in our community. These opportunities are highlighted on this website, and in our weekly News and Notes publication as they arise.

The Good News of Christ is something, no, the one thing worth sharing with those around us. CrossPoint Alliance Church reaches out to our local community in a number of different ways.

Women's Community Bible Studies

On Monday morning, Wednesday night and Thursday morning there are a number of women's Bible study groups. They are designed to meet the needs of women in our community and are open to everyone. These run on a fall and winter/spring semester basis. There is also a "once a month" summer study or activity.

Five Days Clubs

We conduct age based Five Day Clubs instead of a centralized VBS. The ministry culminates in a rally where all the clubs come together.

Becoming all that God wants us to be!

All of us can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like Him and reflect his glory more.
