ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE

with American culture event participation

Are you interested in learning English and understanding American culture?  CrossPoint offers an exceptional program that can be right for you and your family.  We invite all people that are interested in learning to attend regardless of race, culture or religion.  We have taught hundreds of students from around the world.  This program began in 2014.

We offer a variety of free education options for learning English, and invitations to cultural events small and large.

Our classes are scheduled annually from September to May. We follow the local Copley-Fairlawn School Calendar.

Their are costs for books and other occasional incidentals, but all education classes are free. One book is needed per person for our classes. You can purchase a book when you attend your first class. A discount for multiple books is offered if there is a financial burden.

You can start attending our classes at any time during the year. You can attend any class before purchasing any book to learn about the class.

General ESL Classes

We offer several basic conversational English classes throughout the week. Classes are offered at 5 different levels during every session. We offer morning classes, but our largest classes for both men and women are offered on Thursday Evenings. You will be helped to find the skill level class that is correct for you.

TOEFL Classes

The Test of English as a Foreign Language is a test anyone from a non-English speaking nation must pass in order to attend University in the USA. We offer Preparation classes on Wednesday evenings.

English Corner

On Mondays, CrossPoint ESL students and some staff can gather at Panera Bread (next to TJ Maxx store) for casual conversation and social English. Students choose the topics and anyone can join in.

Citizenship Class

This class runs about 15 weeks and covers the 100 Questions need for passing the Citizenship Test. It also practices the writing & reading portions as well as assisting students to prepare for the citizenship interview.
